Google Partners Affected due to Bug
Google partners are companies who have taken Google online test. On completion of the test and meeting the criteria set by Google the specific industry would then be considered as a Google partner with a certificate given endorsing the same. Recently there has been a bug that has caused such partners encounter a message stating that their search ad specializations have expired. It is also to be noted that the bug has affected company specialization data too for such partners.
However word from Google suggest that the message was due to a bug that triggers such notifications and have requested the webmasters not to panic as things will be resolved shortly. According to users when webmasters login to their partner account they see that specialization data and spend fields turn out to be empty. This phenomenon appears to be global in nature as webmasters from around the world who have Google Partner certification seems to have encountered the same issue.
Google’s Justification
Google has clarified that a wrong email notification was sent out due to the bug and have asked users to ignore such notifications. They certification remains perfectly fine and one does not have to wonder if they will have to retake the test again. Google has also notified that they are currently working on fixing the bug and users will be notified once it is fixed. The clarification might come as a relief to accounts affected by the bug and webmasters can expect all their specialization data to be restored back to their accounts once the bug is fixed.
